The nativity set up from a 7 year old perspective is spot on. This photo was taken a few weeks ago after I asked Jayden to set up the children’s nativity. He’s been in charge of that task for the last few years. I allow the kids to move it around and play with it if they want. So this year, after I had begun to clean up and put away the empty boxes, I looked over to see this. The shepherds and wise men were fully focused on Jesus, the newborn King. This was no longer something for us to look at and enjoy, but a vision of worship and adoration, just as it should be. This should be our perspective and purpose every day, to honor and worship the King who came into this world not to condemn it, but to save us! Praise be to God and to His Holy Son Jesus Christ! I love when my kids get it right!
This also served as a little reminder for me to keep my eyes on Jesus always, even through the jumble of emotions that accompany Christmas. As we enter the craziness of the Christmas holiday, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus.Through mourning and longing, loneliness and grief, have peace knowing that Jesus is with You, and His Holy Spirit lives in You when you accept His free gift of grace. And through the family gatherings and children's tantrums, remember to pause and take in the peace He promises.
He is the way,the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but through Him. If you haven’t already, make this the day to accept Him as Savior and King and the forgiver of your sins. Walk with Him into eternity. God bless you with the Peace of Jesus Christ.
